UST Chemistry Alumni Periodic Table Fundraiser

What:	A periodic table fundraiser where each element can be sponsored by an individual or by a group of alumni. Each element is $1000.00 or 50,000 pesos. Payment can be made in 10 monthly installments of $100 or 5,000 pesos
Who Can Join:	Any UST Chemistry alumni
Where:	The fundraiser will be held all over the world, wherever chemistry alumni are located but the money will be collected in the US and Philippines. The plan is to present Maribel and Fortune a giant check at the June 4-6, 2010 Maine reunion and at the same time wire the amount to UST.
When:	Starts on 09-09-09
Why:	To help chemistry students complete their senior year when their parents can no longer afford to pay for tuition. The fund will pay for tuition from interest generated while keeping the principal intact.

Here are the mechanics for USTChemie79:

* our batch has reserved two elements:
Element 79 (Gold)
Element 81 (Thallium)
* the goal is to make donations by batch'79 members as easy as possible
* Jatzie will collect in Canada; Yolly will collect in Manila; Marja will collect in the US
* in the US, here is how it will work out:
1. let Marja know your total pledge so it can be included in the tabulation (see below)
2. send donations to Marja in however many "gives" you would like
* example: 1 to 10 post-dated checks for $xx.00
3. the last check should paid by 5-31-2010
* it's as simple as that!
* all contributions are welcome... any amount will help immensely!
* our goal is to collect $2,000 (the cost of 2 elements)
