Marj, can you do me a big favor, please send my regards to everybody. I visited the reunion website, honestly, it's really cool. I have a concern to voice out. Is there anyone in the group who is willing to provide loans for tickets/gastos in case of emergency. I know there's a long range planning for this. In the event,someone wants to go home for the reunion (and due to unforeseen circumstances you or I get broke, no doubt it would be me), and will be needing help financially, who will be the contact person. My suggestion is to have at least 2-days celebration of our 20th year reunion: the 1st day being an exclusive event for just "us" (the alumni) - we can have it in a Hotel Ballroom complete with lunch/dinner, program & dance(to the oldies!), picture taking; the 2nd day event may be a picnic/bbq party when we can bring our family - games, potluck(?), program - this can be held at a nearby resort/park which is accessible to everybody (Luneta... I'm kidding!). It's been 20 years and for sure, a 1-day event is NOT enough ("bitin"). What do you think, people? Hey, any news from PI? Do we have a target date in December yet? Hi Folks! Mary Jo (Paz) is in town- visiting the Bay Area (San Jose,CA). She's on vacation for 2 weeks until the 28th of May. She's staying with me. She brought some interesting pictures from our "good old student days". I'm sending the pictures to Jun to have them scanned. I was told that very few of our classmates can access the Web from PI. Hi Jatzie.. so nice to hear from you and come back soon because we want to hear Elena's ideas! And Hi Wena.. sorry I missed MaryJo's visit! I just got back from a 2-week trip to Negros; didn't even get a chance to see Yolly M as planned. It was HOT in Negros! I like the idea of a few days in a resort/park - Batangas or Luneta is fine with me :-) and maybe we can combine that with the hotel event - will this work for you, Wena? I agree, a one-day affair is going to be bitin. Did MaryJo have any input from the others in Manila? And I agree with Wena, we better make reservations for the hotel if that is what we want to do because those reservations fill up pretty fast! I will ask Yolly if she can get a survey of the people in Manila and get an idea of how much it will cost and whether it is acceptable with everyone. I think it should be fun, but if not, we can always have the dancing, etc, at the resort (since it seems everyone wants to go to some resort?). Talk to you all soon!

So far, I had talked with Gina, Bellie Mision-Prieto, Jane Munar-Cruz, Elena Villena,Yols Ramos-Tirol, Marius, Samalea (sammy.d.samalea@grace.com.), Tierny Ora-de Lazo, Marinela Paulino-Ordonez (griffith@info.com.ph), Belen dela Peņa, Pinky Seraspi-Perez. I'll consolidate the info I'd get from them so that it would be easy for you to update our directory. Anyway, I think I'll be able to get in touch with most of the people of Section A. I would appreciate if you could give me more info on the whereabouts of people from the ohter section. I'm relying from Marius and Samalea. I was able to talk to Fortune, Gerry Janiaro, Errol, Maribel Nonato and Ma'am Bernas. Incidentally, Ma'am Bernas is already the Dean of College of Science (gloria.b@ustcc.ust.edu.ph). I have informed them of our plans for 1999. Ma'am Bernas offered Room 311 as one of the venue that we can visit during our affair. By the way, Fortune was asking on the whereabouts of the Caviteņos. Marja, I prefer the Dec.28-30 schedule. But, I guess it would be better that we conduct a survey - perhaps a telephone brigade. I suggest that Bellie does this job for us and maybe Beth D or Gloria for the other section. Probably, we should set a budget for this so that we would be able to decide where to go and how much each of us has to save now. Anyway, I'll keep all of you posted of the developments here. Hi everyone! I am setting a meeting on the 13th of March to finalize our plans for December. Gina had suggested a resort at Cavite or Batangas. I think most the people out here prefer an out of town affair rather than a dinner in a hotel. I'll be requesting Evelyn Cabanban to prepare a newsletter for the batch using the info sheet that our batchmates have submitted. Lately, I have received the info sheet of Jimmy Ibe, who is now working as a full time pastor. Marja, I'll give you more details tomorrow. (I forgot my briefcase inside the car.) Hi All, I have to revise my Choices for the reunion dates. I have to get back to the US by Dec. 30th - I'm trying to play safe - got to get back here before the New Year- don't want to take risks on the Y2K bug. Also, just an FYI. Fares are cheaper if you go home before Dec 15 (departing US-most airlines). Fares skyrocket effective the 15th and I tell you, it's really worth making reservations now before seats are taken. Asiana Airlines are so far the cheapest and they're taking reservations now. Fare is $699 + tax before Dec 15 and goes up to $850+ eff. 12/15. Anybody knows any airlines cheaper than this rate? Let me know before I book mine in 2 weeks. My new choices for our reunion dates are #1, #2 or #3. Hope you'll have a fruitful meeting back home this March on the reunion dates. Let us know of the outcome ASAP and of course, how much we are going to spend for the resort or hotel? Hello batchmates. I happened to visit the website again. I had a long vacation and because wala na akong magawa, I decided to visit the website. Jesiline, we also had our high school reunion last summer and we are having another grand alumni homecoming at St. Bridget's this coming 25 Nov. 2000. Masaya din kami sa HS reunion and in case you still don't know, Susan Malabanan, died of cancer last December. Nakatuwa ang mga classmates natin noon.
