our beloved city
if you haven't been to la carlota in a long while, coming home again will be a nostalgic trip to the past. you will find that a lot of things have changed - the old tiendahan (market) is gone, asphalt roads have been replaced with concrete, mga basurahan (waste receptacles) can now be found in every street corner, ang mga kalog (canals) have been covered, rows of flowering shrubs now welcome you into the city... and yet somehow it is still the same old la carlota we always knew and loved.
